عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى طَيِّبٌ لَا يَقْبَلُ إِلَّا طَيِّبًا، وَإِنَّ اللهَ أَمَرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِمَا أَمَرَ بِهِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ فَقَالَ تَعَالَى: ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوا مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِحًا﴾، وَقَالَ تَعَالَى: ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُلُوا مِنْ طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ﴾. ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الرَّجُلَ يُطِيلُ السَّفَرَ أَشْعَثَ أَغْبَرَ يَمُدُّ يَدَيْهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ: يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ، وَمَطْعَمُهُ حَرَامٌ، وَمَشْرَبُهُ حَرَامٌ، وَمَلْبَسُهُ حَرَامٌ، وَغُذِيَ بِالْحَرَامِ، فَأَنَّى يُسْتَجَابُ لَهُ؟».

English Translation

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Verily Allah the Exalted is Good and accepts only that which is good. And Allah has commanded the believers with what He commanded the messengers, saying: ‘O messengers, eat from the good things and do righteous deeds.’ And He said: ‘O you who believe, eat from the good things We have provided you.’ Then he mentioned a man who, having journeyed far, is dishevelled and dusty, and who stretches out his hands to the sky, saying: O Lord! O Lord! — while his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothing is unlawful, and he is nourished by the unlawful; so how can he be answered?”

Waxaa laga weriyay Abu Hurayrah (Allaha raalli ka noqdo), inuu yidhi: Rasuulka ﷺ wuxuu yidhi: “Hubaal Allah taʼaalaa waa Wanaagsan (Tayyib), mana aqbalo wax aan wanaagsanayn. Allah wuxuu muʼminiinta ku amray wixii uu rusushii ku amray, wuxuuna yidhi: ‘Rasuulladow, ka cuna waxyaalaha wanaagsan, oo camal wanaagsan fala.’ Wuxuuna yidhi: ‘Kuwa rumeeyayow, ka cuna waxyaalaha wanaagsan ee aan idin arzuqnay.’ Markaasuu xusay nin safar dheer sii joogay, timo jaban oo boodh leh, gacmihiisana cirka u fidinaya: Rabbow! Rabbow! — cuntadiisuna xaaraan tahay, cabbitaankiisuna xaaraan, dharkiisuna xaaraan, xaaraanna lagu quudiyay; sidee baa loogu ajiibi (aqbali) karaa?”
