عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَشْهَدُوا أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ، وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ، وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ، فَإِذَا فَعَلُوا ذَلِكَ عَصَمُوا مِنِّي دِمَاءَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلَّا بِحَقِّ الْإِسْلَامِ، وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللهِ تَعَالَى».

English Translation

On the authority of Ibn ʻUmar (may Allah be pleased with them both), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “I have been commanded to fight the people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and they establish the prayer and give the zakat. If they do that, they have protected from me their blood and their wealth except by the right of Islam, and their reckoning is with Allah the Exalted.”

Waxaa laga weriyay Ibn ʻUmar (Allaha raalli ka noqdo labadoodaba), in Rasuulka ﷺ uu yidhi: “Waxaa la i amray inaan la dagaallamo dadka ilaa ay ka marag furaan inaan Ilaah xaq lagu caabudo jirin Allah mooyee iyo in Muxammad yahay Rasuulkii Allah, ay oogaan salaadda, ayna bixiyaan zakada. Hadday taas sameeyaan, way iga ilaaliyeen dhiiggooda iyo maalkooda, marka laga reebo xaqa Islaamka, xisaabtooduna waxay saaran tahay Allah taʼaalaa.”
